Play’n GO Unleashes Ring of Odin Slot

Posted by Maya Michaels on Tuesday, April 21, 2020

Play’n Go launches Ring of Odin.

With its newest slot adventure Ring of Odin, Play’n Go is taking you on a journey to Asgard!

Let’s see what awaits you in this wonderful land of the gods.

Wield the Power of Mighty God

Ring of Odin is a 5-reel video slot centered around the most powerful god in Norse mythology, Odin.

His ring, which is in the title is actually called Draupnir. This is a magical ring that was forged by elves. It can multiply itself into nine rings every ninth night. Which could make the owner of the ring very wealthy.

“Norse mythology is full of rich detail and we’ve made sure to represent that in the game,” the developer said.

That’s why they’ve linked it directly to its source material. To start with, symbols are based around different Norse legends.

Moreover, this is evident in the game’s main feature, Odin’s Ring. It allows the ring to split and cover nine spaces on the grid.

The feature can activate on any spin. The symbol that lands in this round will be the chosen symbol.

Then, if the chosen symbol lands in one or more rings, you’ll trigger the Draupnir Re-spins. If during a re-spin you stumble upon a scatter, it will add a +1 multiplier, up to 9x.

Norse Mythology As Huge Inspiration

Many Play’n Go slots have been inspired by the ever-popular theme of Viking lore and mythology.

Ring of Odin is the latest addition to their games based on Norse mythology. Some of the previous titles are award-winning Viking Runecraft and Troll Hunters.

“Along with our collection of ancient Egyptian slots, we’ve really excelled in the myth-based adventure slots,” the company said.

The CEO Johan Törnqvist spoke more about this.

“Mythology is a very popular subject and a rich source of inspiration, with plenty of stories to be told.

At Play’n GO we are, first and foremost, entertainers. We pay particular attention to creating a rich narrative in these games, something players appreciate and enjoy immensely”.

Ring of Odin is available to play online from today.
