Introducing Skill-Based Slots on Casino Floors
Skill based slots are now on the floors of casinos.
Long debates have taken place over the last few months about implementing skill-based slot machines on the casino floor. The Nevada gaming committee has yet to find adequate information that has allowed them to ok the project. The regulation on the new style slot machine has been under review for several months but the only way it can go further is to be accepted by the states gaming control board. The hope is that all details will be specified before their September meeting and casinos will be able to start preparation on adding the new slots to their arsenal.
US slots are manufactured to work on chance and chance alone. The gaming commission wants a true definition stated in the proposal that clarifies the difference in chance, skill and hybrid games that incorporate both for players. Having skill-based games will give the player more control on the money they will spend and will be able to make. The waiting game that is the American slot machines has become a thing of the past with many people opting for table play over slots. The younger generation needs something that appeals to them and keeps their attention on the casino floor. The skill-based games will present an opportunity for casinos to keep uninterested patrons involved in the day to day gaming.
The new games will also include new elements like social networking and electronic commerce transactions which would deliver a similar experience as mobile waging software. The idea is to update the casino floor to bring a younger crowd. So the slots will look to duplicate old games we all grew up to in order to do so. The Nevada state commission is looking to have all necessary information clear by months end and casinos are hoping to have the new slots on the floor by New Year. The new era of Las Vegas gaming is among us and will be in front of our eyes in a matter of months.
