NetEnt announced two more branded slot titles with Narcos and Vikings soon to be expected
NetEnt, a casino developer with a number of successful titles based on TV shows and movies, announced the release of two more branded titles, Narcos and Vikings.
After the 2017 release of Aliens and Planet of the Apes and announced 2018 Jumanji slot release based on blockbuster movies, the top tier Swedish developer revealed that they want to focus on TV shows in the future.
NetEnt used the opportunity of last week’s ICE in London where the provider was exhibiting, to announce the news of two slot games coming out in the following months. And in addition to Miami Vice-inspired Hotline Slot here come two nail-biting titles – Narcos and Vikings!
This is the first time that NetEnt have gone after a Netflix Original.
They have scored an agreement with Gaumont International, the first and the oldest film company in the world, for the slot based on Narcos. The show premiered in 2015 and awaits its fourth season in September. The show is focused on Pablo Escobar and the infamous Medellin and Calli cartel.
So if you enjoy the ever-lasting fight between Colombian drug trafficking and drug enforcement police, you just have to love this title. DEA agents Murphy and Pena will bring pure intensity and suspense of Narcos on the reels. Being one of the most in-demand original show not only in the US but worldwide, it has a huge fan base and will give NetEnt yet another demographic who can have fun playing the game.
The other title coming from the casino game developer is Vikings, based on the popular TV Danish-Irish drama. Vikings follow the adventures of Scandinavian seafarers as they raid across France and England.
Vikings are led by the legendary warrior Ragnar Lothbrok, and his name has allowed them to be feared all over Europe for centuries. The show premiered in 2013 and the sixth season is expected in the fall. NetEnt signed a deal with A+E Networks to develop this branded slot and it is expected in the final quarter of the year.
Transforming these much awarded TV shows into slots, NetEnt is seeking to bank on their popularity and expand their player base. They definitely understand the need to offer different genres to their audience and believe these new titles and the hard work they put into developing such high-quality games will appeal to payers around the globe.
