NetEnt scores important deal to bring about another branded slot title
After the great success of the latest NetEnt release, Witchcraft Academy, NetEnt has announced that they have scored a deal with Sony Picture Consumer Product and that Jumanji slot game is in development.
The Jumanji Movie
The Jumanji movie, fantasy adventure film based on the children’s book from 1981, came out in 1996 with Robin Williams as a leading actor. Williams is Alan Parish, trapped in a board game Jumanji and released 26 years later by siblings Judy and Peter now playing the board game. They must finish the game together to reverse all the destruction it has caused. The movie earned $262.8 million in the US and $676 million in global box office and still continues to demonstrate its cross-generational appeal so it was a logical choice for NetEnt.
The slot will come out just months after the December release of the second Jumanji movie, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle with Dwayne Johnson as a lead role. Four teenagers now enter the world of video game Jumanji putting them in similar predicaments as in the first movie. The movie has already grossed $768 million worldwide.
The Jumanji Slot Trailer Revealed
NetEnt has released a trailer a few days ago but attendees at the London ICE Totally Gaming can get a sneak peak at the adventure-theme game itself. So far the provider kept details for itself so we expect a huge surprise from this innovative provider in terms of gamification and special features.
The trailer begins with rolling dices and as they bounce in the dirt, the infamous line appears “For Those Who Seek To Find”. Bookcase rattles and the rhinoceros break through and stampede through the house while monkeys wreak havoc in the kitchen. Trailer consists of scenes from the movie but there’s no hint about the actual game. We’ll just have to be patient and wait to see how the developer will bring this magical story to the reels.
This leading provider of digital gaming solutions really likes to produce branded titles such as Dracula, the Invisible Man, Guns N’ Roses, Motorhead, Jurrasic Park and Planet of the Apes, the revolutionary slot with dual game play that blew our minds and hit the roof with its numbers. So we simply can’t wait for Jumanji to come out later in 2018 and see what innovative features this slot provider will present us with.
