NetEnt publish industry-first live widget in time for World Cup
NeEnt customers can from now own play casino games and bet on sports at the same time thanks to the newest addition to their live dealer product range.
Live Sports Betting Widget
The Stockholm-listed casino games specialist has launched an industry-first Live Sports Betting Widget that allows simultaneous playing and betting.
The widget that represents another product release to their packed FIFA World Cup roadmap, uses streaming technology and content management tools to seamlessly combine operator-generated live odds on any sport, match or marketplace with live dealer action. This means that customers can bet on roulette and on sports from the same interface.
“This is a product unlike anything the market has seen before and we are releasing it at a very exciting time, with the start of the World Cup only a few weeks away,” said NetEnt chief product officer, Henrik Fagerlund.
The first one that signed up for Sports Betting Widget in time for the World Cup is Stoiximan, which will offer both pre and in-play odds that players can bet on while enjoying the live casino experience.
Stoiximan always strives to offer the superb experience to their players and therefore they worked closely with NetEnt to create an innovative way to combine Live Casino and Sports Betting. The widget allows players to continue enjoying live dealer games without worrying about missing out on in-play betting during the World Cup. Chroma key technology will allow different backdrops or videos to be displayed behind people or items in the foreground.
“Sports Betting Widget offers a new type of cross-sell opportunity, as operators will not have to worry about missing out on sports-betting revenue while gaining revenue on other products, as players can use both simultaneously,” Fagerlund explained.
Being a rue pioneer since its inception in 1996, NetEnt has innovation at its core. The Sports Betting Widget is another viable application of the Chroma key technology and its release follows the launch of NetEnt’s Live Sports Roulette. Live Sports Roulette allows players to keep up to date with scores and real-time updates during World Cup matches while playing Live Roulette. The players can’t watch the matches on the screen but the dealers are commenting on the action as it happens.
